Some people believe that the US should place stiff controls on imports of goods the compete with US businesses to prevent the "exporting of American jobs" to other countries. GIve arguments for and against such a position.

placing stiff controls on trade such as quotas can harm trade between countries. without friendly trade embargos could erupt and the US economy could suffer since it does mainly survive on imports. on the other hand, unemployment is a problem in the US and if some american jobs are suffering it is only putting the nail in the coffin. America has always relied on imports thogh and is highly unlikely that its going to change.

I believe that we should keep exporting of American jobs because it allows a good amount of diversity in the world and in our counrty. Also to help other counrties who are not doing well economically.

I really dont think there should be stiff controls on imports on goods that compete with us businesses. One, that puts more work on the us they have to do everthing. If there is no competition then who do you competet with. That leaves you with lots of work to do. Two, no country has all the resources to make evrthing that their countries need. Importing is kind of a give and take situation. One country may have what you need, and you may have what that country needs. Competition is a good thing. If you and another country have what a country is looking for so what. That country will choose what country has the best "whatever" it is that they need.Last but not least the country that you are putting stiff controls on maybe the country that has the resources that you need.

they shouldn't place stiff controls on imports of goods to compete with businesses to prevent the "exporting of American jobs" to other countries because this would have a major effect on the people who are working in America and their would be less imported goods.

Placing controls on the imports of goods on the US could be a good thing and also could be a bad thing. If their are controls on the imports of goods, or tariffs, than it would help jobs in the US because people would start buying locally and businesses would start doing better. but since the US imports from everybody than having the tariffs would be a bad thing because if there are tariffs on imports than the goods would cost more for the people. the people might not buy imports at all then that would harm the economy.

Kevin Biddle i believe that they shouldn't place stiff controls on imports of goods to compete with US businesses to prevent the "exporting of American jobs" to other countries because some countries may not have what another country has so import goods to another country

I believe that the U.S should not place stiff controls on imports of goods to prevent "exporting of American jobs" to other countries. For one if we do that would be taking money from our pockets. Due to the fact that with them the prices of what we import would cost a lot more. This would make it hard for us to navegate correctly. On the other hand without them the things that we would import would cost a whole lot less. I dont know about you but i feel that the less money that substracts itself out of my pockets, is the best to me.

I disagree with US having to place stiff controls on imports of goods even if it competes with US businesses to prevent "export of American jobs' to other countries. This is because it stops the other trading with in other countries. US might be handing out jobs to other regions but its allowing our consumers to consume lower prices on the goods and services they buy. If the US was to control the imports of goods the prices will increase gradually and less and less people will consume the same goods and serveices they onces use to buy for a cheaper price.

if the U.S. puts a stiff control over its imports we would produce more goods and people would have more jobs but if they dont the U.S. doesnt they will be no need for workers if everything they want is coming in.

we shouldn't putting a stiff control on trade due to imports of goods the compete with u.s business to prevent the exporting american job it would destroy trade and relationships with other countries .this would mean that our country would lack in items that are need.

I dont think we should put a stiff control over the trade because it would cause a small arguement with other countires also it would be messing up many job oppurtuines for some americans

I believe that they should'nt place stiff controls on goods that compete with u.s good because if would effect our trade with other countires. coutries willl see that we are charging more for their product and they wont be make as much money so they might pull their product from the u.s

i agree because if we buy something from another country, that means that we did not make it here in the US and if we did it would have put people to work, which means someone could have had a job but they didnt get a job bacause we bought that item from some other country that had its workers make it.
